The geographic location of India is such that it cannot neglect the attitude of the Chinese army on our borders. The current regime is putting stress on increasing greater investments in developing infrastructure at the border for greater connectivity.
The construction of 135 - km long Chushul- Dungti- Fukche-Demchok in the Ladakh region which is of great strategic importance has already been started. Moreover, according to official documents the length of construction of roads on the china border has doubled in the last eight years. Increased connectivity will provide greater mobility to our forces in case of any insurgency on our borders.
