1) Steps taken to increase production of pulses::
=A special scheme under RKVY target rice fallow area in eastern India for pulses has been initiated from Rabi 2016 to bring rice fallow area under cultivation.
=Pigeon peas on rice bunds has been encouraged.
=150 seed hubs established for production of seed s of pulses.
=15%allocation of pulses component of NFSM is earmarked for production of quality seeds from kharif,2016
2)National Mission on oilseeds and oil palm ( Nmoop)
NMOOP aims to enhance production of oilseeds from 28.9million tonnes to 35.5million tonnes.
Seed subsidy for certified seeds distribution oilseeds was increased by 100%.
3) Promotion of Oil palm in the country.:
NMOOP aims at bringing additional areas of 1.25lakh ha under oil palm with focus on productivity of fresh fruit Bunches.
