CORDILLERA::AND CALDERA:
CORDILLERA refers to the chain of mountains ranges which are roughly parallel or run in one general direction.
Example:, north America , western part of the continent is mountains region know as western CORDILLERAs
CALDERA are the most explosive of the earth's volcanes.They are usually so explosive that when they errupt they tend to collapse on themselves rather than building any tall structure. The collapsed depression are called CALDERAS.
